The Defiance County Amateur Radio Club has been the home of amateur radio in northwest Ohio since 1968. New operators, old-timers, and anyone curious about the hobby are welcome.

About the Club

DCARC (callsign K8VON) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit club based in Defiance County, Ohio. We run weekly on-air nets, hold monthly meetings, coordinate numerous local on-air events, support public service and emergency communications activities, and maintain two local repeaters. Membership is open to any licensed amateur radio operator or anyone working toward a license.

What Membership Includes

  • Monthly club meetings with programs and technical presentations
  • Participation in Field Day, contests, and special event operations
  • ARES and SkyWARN volunteer opportunities
  • Access to contribute and participate in member-only areas of the DCARC website
  • Voting rights and the ability to hold elected office

How to Join

Annual dues are $50. Anyone successfully passing their first exam is granted their first year of membership free of charge. Contact any club member to get on the membership list, or join us at our monthly meetings. Meeting schedules can be found on the Club Events Calendar, and are located at:
